Hello Amerisurv user...
Well, it's finally here... Our new website! Along with the site comes our new eNewsletter, The American Surveyor Today. We've been busy putting the magazine together for nearly four years now, thanks to the gracious support of our readers and advertisers. You might not know it, but we've also been busy building several other websites for the GIS and location-based services (LBS) markets. It's all a result of our passion for positioning and location technology.
The purpose of our newest website and newsletter is simple—to open all of The American Surveyor's content and make it easier to browse. Amerisurv also brings a host of other benefits to the table—job boards, directory resources, interactive mechanisms—and we're just getting started.
Our team of 26 contributing writers, and numerous other affiliates, works constantly throughout the year to bring you the best content we can. Our publication is the only one that's owned and operated by surveyors—we're confident that it shows in our enthusiasm for your business and the articles we publish.
Please take a look at Amerisurv.com when you can. From time to time, I'll e-mail you a newsletter just like this one—it will contain news, links to special articles and blog entries, an index of our magazine's past and present content, recommendations, tips and tricks, anounncements, dates to remember, and other worthwhile info. Please don't hesitate to contact me for any reason.
Thanks again for your support!

Day, night, week-end, holiday, you name it... Amerisurv is updated 24/7 with the latest news and announcements affecting today's Land Surveying professional. Below are some of the latest items of interest.
Amerisurv Spotlight... Road Trip! -
I recently returned from a three-week, 6,500 mile road trip. We have to travel a lot in the magazine business, but have grown weary of being treated like potential terrorists at the airport, so if I can find an excuse to drive, I will.
My first stop was the Surveyors Rendezvous in Northern Neck, Virginia at George Washington's Birthplace. Next, I visited old friends Lew Lapine and Matt Wellslager at the South Carolina Geodetic Survey. Next I visited a Traverse PC customer in West Palm Beach. Then I interviewed Marilyn Evers, the executive director of the Florida Society of Surveying & Mapping. Then I traveled to Fort Worth for CGSIC/ION. Finally, I drove to Atlanta to interview Ola Rollén, the CEO of Hexagon, the new owner of Leica Geosystems and NovAtel. You can expect magazine articles from each one of these visits.
Finally, I have started a blog. You can rest assured that my blog will be long on personal opinion but devoid of politics! I have more to say about each one of the above future articles on my blog.
