Tustin, California – May 15, 2018 – The U.S. Institute of Building Documentation (USIBD) will host its next USIBD Meet-up during the SPAR 3D and AEC Next Conferences on Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 2-5 pm in room 210B at the Anaheim Convention Center. Everyone attending the conferences is welcome to attend the Meet-up. The SPAR 3D and AEC Next Conferences dates are June 5-7, 2018 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA.

An overview of USIBD will be presented to introduce what USIBD’s committees are working on to further the mission of the organization, followed by a presentation of this year’s discussion topic with break-out groups, followed by a full-group discussion to identify ideas and solutions.

This year’s Meet-up discussion topic is: "Have you built a BIM from record drawings? If so, how can you be certain it matches what really exists? Come hear industry experts discuss the secrets to limiting your risk." Four questions will be set up for the break out groups. At the end of the year, the findings from each Meet-up will be compiled, and published in a paper.

To attend the June 7th Meet-up in Anaheim, please RSVP here: https://conta.cc/2K4kV0u

USIBD is organizing these in-person Meet-Up events around the country to create more opportunities for our members to get together, learn what is going on in Building Documentation, and network. These Meet-ups also offer a chance for those who are interested in USIBD and learn about what the organization is developing to come meet and network with other Building Documentation professionals in all the various stakeholder groups of the USIBD membership, including: architects, engineers, surveyors, service providers, software developers, hardware developers, and owner/facility managers.

For those who are not attending SPAR, but would like to come to the Meet-up, you can! Simply RSVP to the above link, and choose the 2ndselection. You will be able to get into the Expo at the Conference on Thursday, June 7th, and attend the Meet-up.

Upcoming Meet-ups are now being scheduled in Dallas and New York in the 3rd quarter of the year, and in Houston and Indianapolis later the year. More locations are under development.
