LYMEEZ Tick Gaiters—New Advanced Tick Fighting Technology Print E-mail

Lyme, NH, April 6, 2017 — LYMEEZ 3D Air Mesh Tick Gaiters have been shown to slow the climb of adult deer ticks by 4–8X in comparison testing over common pant fabrics, such as khakis! A slower climb means longer exposure to the long lasting repellent on each fiber of the gaiters—a force multiplier.

The study results are HERE. A 20-second video showing Lymeez® in action is HERE.

Founder and CEO John Patton warns of increased biohazard risk this year, “Tick-borne illnesses are on the rise. Many sources are predicting a 2017 increase in the number of ticks and Lyme Disease, and other tick-borne illnesses.” According to the CDC there has been a dramatic increase in the incidence and geographic range of Lyme disease across the US, with cases reported in all 50 states. Tick-borne illnesses are endemic in 1/3 to 1/2 of the country.

Ticks don't fly or jump. Ticks instinctively climb upwards from the ground and brush. Commonly, ticks climb onto the feet and lower legs, attracted by movement, heat, and carbon dioxide as people work outdoors or enjoy outdoor recreation.

Lymeez® tick gaiters are purpose-built to intercept ticks and repel them on their climb. Adult and nymphal deer ticks, which carry Lyme disease and other pathogens are as small as sesame seeds and poppy seeds, respectively—very easy to miss.

Lymeez® Tick Gaiters with Active Release™ repellency, employ "intelligent textile technology," infusing every fiber of the gaiters with odorless micro-encapsulated permethrin. Movement and friction causes some of the millions of microcapsules to burst, gradually releasing the ixodicide (tick repellent). This technology has long been the choice of militaries worldwide to help prevent tick bites.

Tick bite prevention only works when it is a regular habit. Lymeez® 3D Air Mesh Tick Gaiters, are an easy on/off leg wrap—no special wardrobe planning is needed. Put them before heading into grass and brush to work, on when walking onto the golf course, before walking the dog, mowing the lawn, hiking, bird watching, gardening, hunting—really any outdoor activity where there is a danger of ticks.

Lymeez® 3D Air Mesh Tick Gaiters are durable and attractive, with an adjustable fit. Repellency lasts the expected life of the product. One size fits all. Lymeez® gaiters are sewn and treated in the USA. Available in Black or Olive Green.

While Lymeez LLC, nor any company, can guarantee complete prevention of tick bites, Lymeez® offers excellent practical protection. Work Safely, Play More, Worry less!™

LYMEEZ® provides revolutionary safety equipment for mitigating the biohazard risk of tick bites and associated diseases for outdoor workers, gardeners, hikers, golfers and all who spend time outdoors. Every fiber of Lymeez® Tick Gaiters is infused with effective, odorless micro-encapsulated permethrin tick repellent. Lymeez® 3D Air Mesh Tick Gaiters, are an easy on/off leg wrap—no special wardrobe planning is needed. Lymeez® gaiters are sewn and treated in the USA. http://www.Lymeez.com
