2011 Geospatial Solutions Conference Announces Revamped Program Features Print E-mail
Written by GITA
Tuesday, 15 February 2011

Aurora, CO, February 15, 2011—The Geospatial Information & Technology Association (GITA) will be holding its annual Geospatial Solutions Conference in Grapevine (Dallas), TX from April 10-13, 2011.  The conference will explore the integration of existing infrastructures using geospatial technology in order to maximize efficiencies and extend the life of these valuable assets. It will bring together the most credible, informed and objective presenters in order to give you a unique perspective on the decisions you face. This is the only event that will deal with the impacts of decisions across electric, telecommunications, gas, water, sustainable energy, public sector, transportation and the smart grid, designed to give you a 360 degree view of the issues, the impact and the innovations.

“We’ve spent a lot of time this past year listening to our members and constituents and making the changes that they told us they wanted made.  The lineup of presenters is impressive and their content is really top notch – probably the most complete and informative educational event GITA has ever offered.  The whole event is focused on enabling participants to network with their counterparts in different industry segments, a hallmark of what makes GITA different.  The 2011 conference in Grapevine represents the concerted effort of a great number of geospatial industry professionals to provide a truly unique learning and networking opportunity for anyone that uses geospatial technology to operate, maintain and protect our valuable infrastructure,” said GITA Executive Director, Bob Samborski.

There are several new program features this year, including 70% new speakers, an Open Source Track every day, an Industry Trends and Analysis Group (ITAG) session where everyone can attend, Continue the Conversation sessions to get your questions answered by the day’s featured speakers and much more. Key topics such as 3D mobile mapping, crowd sourcing, cloud computing and smart grid deployment will be discussed throughout the program. Come and see sessions presented by Intergraph, Esri, Autodesk, The Open Source Geospatial Foundation, Bentley, GE Energy and more.

Online registration for the 2011 Geospatial Infrastructure Solutions Conference is now open. Register before March 1 and save up to $240. The full conference program can be viewed at www.gita.org/gsc.
