“Digital Mapping: From Elevation to Information”

ASPRS/MAPPS 2009 Fall Specialty Conference
San Antonio, Texas – November 16-19, 2009
Crowne Plaza Riverwalk Hotel

October 15, 2009

There is just one week remaining to take advantage of the reduced registration rates if you are planning to attend the ASPRS/MAPPS 2009 Fall Specialty Conference

“Digital Mapping: From Elevation to Information”

Go to http://www.asprs.org/sanantonio09/registration.html to register on line.

The Conference Features:
• Pre-confrence workshops with CEU credits for ASPRS workshops
• The MAPPS Fall Policy Conference for MAPPS members and invited participants.
• Keynote and General Session Presentations: these include an update on the status of the USGS National Lidar Initiative, an open discussion of lidar hot topics, and a panel discussion highlighting the National Geospatial Advisory Committee (NGAC) Forum.
• 100+ Technical paper presentations
• Networking Opportunities

The Exhibit Hall is approaching capacity, so vendors are expecting you to attend. Full details for this conference can be found at http://www.asprs.org/sanantonio09/PreliminaryProg.pdf

The ASPRS Sustaining Members Council and the Student Advisory Council are managing a Job Fair with the opportunity for on-the-spot interviews with companies that have job openings. Bring your resumes.

A wide array of Workshops is being offered on Monday, November 16 and Tuesday, November 17  prior to the Conference Opening. ASPRS and MAPPS reserve the right to cancel any workshop if the minimum number of registrations is not received by October 15, 2009. THE MOST POPULAR WORKSHOPS ALWAYS SELL OUT EARLY -- so don’t wait, register NOW for the workshop of your choice and avoid disappointment later. Workshop details are available at http://www.asprs.org/sanantonio09/workshops.pdf. Workshops are not included in the general registration fee.  Special student pricing available.

NOTE:  Non-conference registrants risk being removed from the hotel room block in order to accommodate those registering for the conference. This policy is necessary to ensure that our room block remains full; otherwise, ASPRS can be charged large penalties for rooms that are cancelled by individuals who do not attend the meeting.

Register now and plan to join us in San Antonio.
