For an assortment of reasons, this year the B.O.D. broke with recent tradition and chose to relocate the venue of the mandatory Spring meeting from the site of the ACSM/NSPS (American Congress of Surveying and Mapping/National Society of Professional Surveyors) meeting (Spokane, WA) to a site in Illinois. Unusually heavy rains, an inability to walk on water, lack of scuba gear and other reasons nixed the newly planned Illinois gathering...
