ERDAS Announces Extract the Frustration from Feature Extraction Free Webinar
Written by ERDAS
Wednesday, 28 May 2008
Norcross, GA – ERDAS announces Extract the Frustration from Feature Extraction, a free webinar on Thursday, June 5 at 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. (EDT). This webinar will highlight the Beta release of IMAGINE Objective, a solution for building and maintaining accurate geospatial content, with object based multi-scale image classification and feature extraction technology.
With IMAGINE Objective, imagery and geospatial data of all kinds can be analyzed to produce GIS-ready maps. IMAGINE Objective transforms data from remotely sensed imagery (whether airborne or satellite-based) into relevant information for a broad range of industries, including insurance companies, utility providers, local government institutions, forest management companies and tax assessors. The output generated reflects the image content, with smooth roads and squared up buildings, and can be directly merged into a GIS, minimizing the need for additional post-processing.
Each month, ERDAS is offering at least two different webinar topics. To meet the needs of ERDAS’ global audience, each webinar will be hosted twice on a scheduled day. Each webinar features an ERDAS solution, addressing user needs while also showcasing key features. In addition to a live presentation and demonstration, each webinar also includes the ability for customers to interact directly with the presenter. Scheduled to last forty-five minutes, each webinar will include approximately thirty minutes of presented material and fifteen minutes for Q&A.
Below is a schedule outlining the next three ERDAS webinar topics and the solutions featured:
• June 4 – Huge Images? Too Many Users? No Problem! (IWS)
• June 5 – Extract the Frustration from Feature Extraction (IMAGINE Objective)
• June 19 – Transform Your Data to Information: Author, Manage, Connect and Deliver! (Multiple solutions)
