Norcross, GA – ERDAS announces GeoConnect 2008, an event marking the company’s 30th anniversary of inception, beginning at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2008. This event will be held at the company’s corporate headquarters in Norcross, Georgia.
Based in Georgia, ERDAS was established in 1978. A small start up initially located on Georgia Tech's campus, ERDAS initially developed software to process Landsat imagery into maps, utilizing remote sensing and GIS techniques. Today, ERDAS creates Geospatial Business Systems that transform our earth’s data into business information, enabling individuals, businesses and public agencies to quickly access, manage, process and share that information from anywhere.
At GeoConnect 2008, attendees will have the opportunity to connect with other geospatial colleagues and learn how ERDAS’ geospatial imaging technologies are being implemented across a broad range of industries and organizations worldwide. In addition, ERDAS will share user cases, highlighting key features in IWS, ERDAS TITAN, ERDAS Image Manager and the recent Beta release of IMAGINE Objective.
“GeoConnect 2008 provides an event to connect colleagues in the geospatial community throughout our region, while also celebrating 30 years of ERDAS pioneering,” said Mladen Stojic, Senior Vice President, Product Management and Marketing, ERDAS. “Continuing to lead the geospatial renaissance, we are excited to share a detailed overview of the new ERDAS and our recent innovations.”
