C & C Technologies AUV Reaches 125,000 Kilometer Mark

Lafayette, Louisiana — On May 7, 2008, the R/V Rig Supporter documented the 125,000th kilometer surveyed by C & C Technologies, Inc. (C & C) Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs). This milestone was reached as the C-Surveyor™ I AUV was working for Petrobras S.A. in Brazil. Thomas Chance, Chief Executive Officer of C & C Technologies states, “Bringing this into perspective, it is like going around the world three times at 3.7 knots. This is an incredible achievement, and reflects the confidence that our worldwide client base has in our technology. I am very proud of our field and office personnel whose competency in this area is unmatched.”
C & C, the worldwide leader in the field, began providing AUV services in January 2001. Its fleet of three AUVs has worked for more than 55 clients on 210 projects in the offshore waters of 12 different countries. In addition to the oil and gas industry, C & C's AUV clients include the Minerals Management Service (MMS), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Louisiana State University, Texas A&M University and the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).
