Network corrected real-time is a technological approach to high precision GPS/ GNSS positioning that has been theorized about, studied, experimented with, and implemented in various academic, scientific, and commercial forms for nearly a decade. Merrick & Company Wins Aerial LiDAR Mapping Project Wright County, Minnesota, USA

Aurora, CO USA – Merrick & Company, a world leader in LiDAR, digital ortho imaging, photogrammetry, and geospatial solutions was awarded a contract by Wright County. Merrick will deliver six-inch pixel resolution color digital orthophotography that was simultaneously collected with 1-meter ground sample distance LiDAR, a digital terrain model (DTM), and two-foot contours for the entire County. Based on s spring 2008 aerial data survey, final delivery of all data products for the entire 861 square mile project area is expected in December 2008.
Situated in East Central Minnesota, Wright County will use the data for a variety of purposes including land records management, infrastructure management, regional hydrologic modeling projects, engineering pre-design, map production, GIS/LIS activities, and land data analysis in this rapidly growing region.
