Agreement Enables ESRI U.S. Customers to Procure Powerful Line of Océ TCS Color Printers from their GIS Software Provider

March 27, 2008, Trumbull, CT – Océ, an international leader in digital document management and delivery solutions, and ESRI, the world leader in geographic information systems (GIS) software, today announced an agreement enabling ESRI to become a national reseller of Océ TCS300 large format color printers and Océ TCS500 color multifunction copy/scan/print systems. This new agreement reinforces Océ and ESRI’s business relationship and allows ESRI customers in the U.S. to secure the proven benefits of the Océ TCS line of printers – increased productivity; faster processing times for large, complex color files and uncompromising quality – from their existing GIS software vendor.

"Océ is proud to be partnering with ESRI, the leader in GIS software,” said Sal Sheikh, Vice President, Marketing, Wide Format Printing Systems division of Océ North America.  “This agreement enables ESRI customers to obtain the most productive large format color plotters and multifunction systems available today and extends Océ’s reach into the GIS market.  With ever more complex and data rich GIS files, ESRI users can now increase their productivity by easily and quickly plotting their GIS drawings from their desktop to an Océ TCS300 or Océ TCS500 device."

Single Source for Industry Leading GIS Hardware and Software Needs
This agreement presents a total business solution for ESRI’s customers, with the advantage of only needing to contact one vendor for all of their GIS software and hardware needs. This comprehensive offering will streamline business operations by eliminating the need for multi-vendor purchases while also ensuring customers can procure the latest GIS print solutions.

“This announcement underscores both ESRI and Océ’s commitment to providing GIS users with the highest quality products and services available today,” said Jack Dangermond, ESRI President. “Additionally, this presents the opportunity for our customers to purchase a highly productive color print solution from a vendor who intimately understands their specific needs and can recommend the most appropriate system for their business requirements.”

Uncompromising Print Speed and Quality for ESRI Software Users
The Océ TCS500 large format multifunction system harnesses the power of concurrent processing, printing, copying and scanning to make it the most productive large format color GIS inkjet print system on the market.  Highly intuitive, the system automatically optimizes print speed and print quality when printing lines, text and images – making it a great choice for printing complex GIS files. Furthermore, the Océ TCS500 promotes ease of use with its ability to use multiple rolls and change media or ink while printing.

Sharing the same core technologies as the Océ TCS500, the cost-effective Océ TCS300 combines the power of quick, concurrent file processing with unmatched print speed.  The Océ TCS300 represents a strong solution for GIS users who need to produce large format color and monochrome prints without sacrificing quality.

Service and Support
As part of this arrangement, ESRI customers can take advantage of Océ’s best-in-class service and support. After purchase, Océ will provide a service technician for on-site installation.
