Written by RETTEW
Wednesday, 26 March 2008
Lancaster, Pa. – The shareholders of RETTEW Associates, Inc., recently elected Robert W. Allison, Sr., PLS, to the firm’s board of directors.
“On behalf of the shareholders at RETTEW, I congratulate Rob and thank him for his willingness to serve on our board,” said George W. Rettew, Jr., board chairman and CEO, RETTEW.
As a member of RETTEW’s board of directors, Allison has fiduciary responsibility to the firm and its shareholders, playing a significant role in RETTEW’s decision-making regarding financial management, the firm’s strategic direction, major policies and the appointment of corporate officers. His term on the board runs through June 2010.
Allison joined RETTEW in 1997 as a result of the firm’s acquiring Catskill Mountain Surveying Services, P.C., which Allison owned and operated in Margaretville, N.Y. He is the director of RETTEW’s New York region, responsible for overseeing the firm’s Margaretville operations as well as operations in the firm’s Liberty, N.Y., office, which RETTEW opened in 2005.
In 2002, Allison became vice president of RETTEW Engineering and Surveying, P.C., the sister company and New York affiliate of RETTEW Associates, Inc. Under his direction, RETTEW’s New York operations have grown from a staff of two surveyors to a diverse staff of 24, providing state and municipal government, developers and private residents with engineering, surveying, land development and environmental consulting services. A shareholder of the firm since 2006, Allison has 22 years of experience as a professional licensed surveyor. A resident of Margaretville, he is actively involved in the Margaretville Chamber of Commerce and serves as deputy mayor and trustee for the village of Margaretville.
