Jacksonville, FL, March 24, 2008 — Ghiotto & Associates announced that P. Ross Ghiotto has joined the surveying and mapping firm. Ghiotto graduated in December 2007 from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geomatics, which is the study of geo-spatial measurement systems and technologies. He has received his Surveyor in Training (SIT) licensure and will embark upon four years of responsible charge after which he will be eligible to take the exam for his professional license.

“I am extremely pleased that Ross has elected to pursue a career in surveying and mapping, and that he has chosen to join the family business,” said Philip M. Ghiotto, President, Ghiotto & Associates and Ross’s father. “Ross is a welcomed addition to our team and he will be responsible for field survey work and project management.

Commenting on his new position, Ross said, “I’ve been watching, learning, and working with my dad for years. I’m excited to have this opportunity to develop my skills and build my career, while helping him grow the business.

Ghiotto & Associates was recently awarded the contract for surveying and mapping in conjunction with the scheduled replacement of the San Sebastian River Bridge at SR5 (US1) in St. Augustine. Ghiotto & Associates will act as prime survey contractor on the project.
