Surdex Corporation Awarded Contract With State of Missouri Print E-mail
Written by Surdex
Thursday, 20 March 2008

Surdex Corporation, of Chesterfield, Mo., was recently awarded a contract to provide digital orthoimagery services over the Western half of the State of Missouri. The award is for three years with funding from the State of Missouri as well as $100,000 from the United States Geological Survey. Surdex recently provided digital orthoimagery services over the Eastern half of the state in 2007.

“This award is the culmination of our relationship building with the state, as well as the successful completion of the bidding requirements. We look forward to continuing our work with the State of Missouri, as well as many of its counties and municipalities,” said Ronald C. Hoffman, president of Surdex.

The process included a team structure comprised of two subcontractors: ABNA Engineering headquartered in St. Louis; and M.J. Harden (MJH) Associates, Inc., located in the greater Kansas City area. ABNA will be responsible for providing help with surveying and quality control. MJH will provide help with digital image capture and production.

“The team assembled and lead by Surdex in response to our state’s needs for continuing the acquisition of imagery is wonderful.  The applications that will be supported, at both state and local levels, will provide better information and context for decision making across all governmental sectors. We are looking forward to the outcomes of this successful partnership,” said Timothy L. Haithcoat, Geographic Information Officer for the State of Missouri.
