March 20, 2008 (Miami, FL) – The Florida Department of Transportation (F.D.O.T) announced the award of a $1.5M District Wide ROW Mapping and Surveying contract to Miami, Florida-based Biscayne Engineering Company.

The process of selection was done through Letter of Response (LOR) and Biscayne Engineering Company ranked 1st in the process and was the only consulting firm chosen from the field of 13 engineering consulting firms.

The contract calls for control surveying, design, right-of-way and construction surveying; along with right of way mapping and photogrammetric mapping throughout District 6.

The 110-year-old company, long recognized for being an influential part in the growth of Miami and the South Florida region, will continue its relationship with the State of Florida and the F.D.O.T.  “Biscayne has been providing professional services to the F.D.O.T. Location Survey Division for many years and we are looking forward to providing the same high quality services to the Right-of-Way Division under this new contract,” said Mike Bartholomew, Senior VP Biscayne Engineering Company.
