Norcross, GA — Leica Geosystems Geospatial Imaging announces the release of IMAGINE Developer’s Toolkit™ 9.2. This set of libraries and documentation was designed exclusively for ERDAS IMAGINE 9.2, the industry’s leading and most complete collection of software tools to manipulate, process and understand imagery.
With IMAGINE Developer’s Toolkit, users may modify ERDAS IMAGINE 9.2, or develop entirely new applications to meet their specific project needs. IMAGINE Developers’ Toolkit includes a set of C/C++ language application programming interfaces (API). Customers who have purchased software maintenance for IMAGINE Developers’ Toolkit may also access the Leica Toolkit Developers’ Network, an interactive tool used to present up-to-date documentation and examples.
While ERDAS IMAGINE includes basic customization capabilities for modifying the graphical interface, IMAGINE Developers’ Toolkit allows users to tailor the software beyond this level.
Recently released, ERDAS IMAGINE 9.2 includes an improved surfacing tool, increasing its handling from 500,000 points to more than 50 million points, quickly and efficiently. Additionally, ERDAS IMAGINE 9.2 also provides ECW support, offering increased interoperability with the recently acquired ER Mapper suite of products. ERDAS IMAGINE 9.2 is also the first geospatial solution to support BigTIFF, efficiently reading and writing this revolutionary file format.
“IMAGINE Developer’s Toolkit empowers users to fully utilize our existing technology, with the capacity to make customizations to meet individual requirements,” said Mladen Stojic, Senior Vice President, Product Management and Marketing, Leica Geosystems Geospatial Imaging. “With this unique tool, users can add to scripts, write new Spatial Modeling Language (SML) scripts or develop entirely new applications.”
IMAGINE Developer’s Toolkit is available for the ERDAS IMAGINE 9.2 Essentials, Advantage and Professional. For more information about the IMAGINE Developer’s Toolkit 9.2 or to join the Network, please visit http://gis.leica-geosystems.com/LGISub1x360x0.aspx.
