Aurora, Colo., Jan. 28, 2008—The Geospatial Information & Technology Association (GITA) announced that a stellar lineup of 13 seminars is being held at the Geospatial Infrastructure Solutions Conference and two more are slated for the Geospatial Dimensions of Emergency Response Symposium. The combined events will take place March 9-12, 2008, at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center in Seattle, Wash.
The 15 half-day seminars cover everything from GIS for engineers and the aging infrastructure to Web applications and disaster response. To see a full list of seminars, descriptions, and speakers, visit http://gita.org/events/annual/31/seminars.asp.
GITA Web site patrons can also build a custom GITA Conference schedule by going to gita.org/itinerary and selecting the conference programming they’d like to attend. After submitting the form, each person will have a printable, personal conference itinerary.
The conference, noted for its high-quality education and unbiased approach, will also include 111 paper presentations, two panel discussions, user forums, networking socials, and an extensive product and service exhibition. Two separate one-day user conferences, hosted by Oracle and Ubisense Consulting, will be held on the Thursday immediately following the GITA conference.
Online registration for GITA’s Geospatial Infrastructure Solutions Conference and the Geospatial Dimensions of Emergency Response Symposium is now open at gita.org/gis. Registration fees start at $379; exhibit-only passes are just $25. Complete information on the event is available at gita.org/gis. For additional information, e-mail
