New Service Eases Burden of Obtaining Complex Flood Risk Documentation

West Palm Beach, FL - January 07, 2008 - Premier Elevation Certificate Network, Inc. (PECN, Inc.) has launched a national service and interactive web site: www.premierelevationcertificates.com to coordinate the preparation of Elevation Certificates and V-Zone Risk Factor Rating Forms for insurance agents and brokers, risk managers, commercial property owners, condominium associations and homeowners. Through a proprietary eight-point quality control program, PECN, Inc. ensures these documents are prepared in accordance with Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) rules and regulations to prevent errors, policy mis-rating and the resulting liability.

Elevation certificates help determine premium rates for flood insurance policies. They are also required when submitting an application to remove a structure from a Special Flood Hazard Area. V-Zone Risk Factor Rating Forms provide detailed information on structures located in coastal high hazard zones. Many times, the submission of a V-zone form can reduce the policy premium. The critical details along with the complexities of preparing these documents have a substantial impact upon a property owner's protection of assets and bottom line.

"According to our review of thousands of elevation certificates prepared by surveyors who are not in our national network, over 50% of all elevation certificates have significant errors," states Rohan Hanson, PECN, Inc.'s Vice President of Operations. He continues, "These errors lead insurance agents to mis-rate flood insurance policies, resulting in liability for the surveyor, the insurance agent, and most importantly the property owner. As weather patterns change and FEMA updates the nation's flood maps, it is important that property owners' flood policies are correctly rated."

PECN, Inc.'s network includes more than 500 licensed surveyors who have met the company's high qualification standards to service properties in all 50 states and U.S. territories.

PECN, Inc. invites insurance agents and brokers, risk managers, commercial property owners, condominium associations and homeowners to visit its comprehensive website: www.premierelevationcertificates.com to obtain project quotes for Elevation Certificates or V-Zone Risk Factor Rating Forms. The site allows Florida homeowners to order and pay for elevation certificates online, and includes a network membership application for surveyors.
