(Norcross, Ga., 27 November 2007) Leica Geosystems announced the winner of its 2007 Super-Charged Sweepstakes grand prize featuring a new 2007 X7 Bullet Super Bike.
The winner, Steven W. Hughes, RPLS, is a project surveyor for international survey company, Universal Ensco, Inc., with headquarters in Houston, Texas. Hughes was selected from a random drawing in October 2007 from among all qualified entries received by Promotion Partners, an independent judging organization. Hughes will receive the new bike at a ceremony hosted by Geomatics Resources, a Leica Geosystems distributor located in Dallas.
The Leica Geosystems’ Super-Charged Sweepstakes was part of a national campaign to build awareness about the benefits of advanced machine control systems, such as Leica DigSmart 3D excavator system, in completing grading and excavation jobs with speed, accuracy and ease. The Leica DigSmart 3D machine control system, for instance, relies on an electronic design file of the site and advanced dual GNSS sensor technology to accurately guide the operator where to work.
Dan Dykhuis, Director of Construction Product Marketing for Leica Geosystems, commented, “This campaign was an overwhelming success, providing our staff the opportunity to educate the industry about advancements in machine control, as well as highlight the latest in these systems such as the powerful DigSmart3D system and other machine control applications.”
Sweepstakes winner, Hughes added, “I’ve relied on Leica Geosystems products since I first started in this profession 28 years ago. No other products provide the reliability, quality, durability and ease of use in my day-to-day tasks.”
