Trimble Dimensions 2007—Building Your Connected Site

Sunnyvale, Calif., Nov. 7, 2007 – Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB) opened its Dimensions 2007 on Monday. With more than 2,500 registered attendees from over 50 countries around the world, the conference theme—Transform Your Business with the Connected Site—provides insight into how surveying, engineering, construction, mapping and geospatial professionals can apply process integration, positioning and communication technologies to transform business operations. Trimble Dimensions 2007 is being held November 5-7 at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas.

“We are extremely pleased with the strong interest demonstrated in Trimble Dimensions,” said Bryn Fosburgh, Trimble vice president. “It is truly a unique conference focused on how advanced technology solutions are transforming the way engineering and construction work is done.”

Building a connected site allows businesses to incorporate seamless workflows to reduce rework and maximize productivity. With more than 300 sessions across multiple specialty tracks, the conference focuses on increasing productivity in the field and in the office. The conference features a wide range of programs including presentations on the underlying technologies, sessions on applying those technologies to real world problems as well as introductory and advanced product training. In addition, some sessions are being presented to highlight techniques to help organizations grow their maximize return on investment. Many of the application sessions utilize Trimble users to explain the practical use of technology in surveying, civil engineering, highway and heavy construction, site preparation, and construction vehicle fleet management, as well as other emerging applications. 

The conference includes a Partners Pavilion that showcases the complete suite of Trimble construction, survey, engineering, aerial and mobile mapping, GIS and infrastructure solutions, including products from, Applanix, INPHO, Meridian Systems, Pacific Crest, Quantm, Tripod Data Systems (TDS), and XYZ Solutions. Highlighted solutions and technologies include GPS; total stations; field computing and data collection; 3D scanning; pre-design construction planning; 3D visualization; construction project management; aerial mapping; wireless communications; data transfer; and field and office software applications. Other technology providers who are Trimble partners participate to extend the conference’s range of products and applications. Sixteen sponsors representing industry also participate in the event.
