Pentax and Javad-GNSS to Create a Unique Successful Alliance Creating Synergies Print E-mail
Written by Pentax – Corporate Communications
Sunday, 30 September 2007

Tokyo, September 25th, 2007. PENTAX Industrial Instruments Co., Ltd., Tokyo and the well-known company Javad GNSS, San Jose announced today their intention to form a unique strategic alliance.

Under the agreement-to-be, Pentax and Javad will jointly develop new advanced solutions for the fields of the high–precision geomatics market, geographic information system market, construction and construction machine guidance market. The first product will come out on the worldwide markets in January 2008, just few months away.

The Pentax-Javad Alliance is based on two autonomous companies with their own culture and brand identity, sharing a profitable growth strategy and linked by a community of interests.

Together, Pentax and Javad have complementary global footprints. Both partners add their respective know–how and will create real synergies in developing and manufacturing unique, cutting edge, versatile satellite positioning solutions.

The companies consider this strategic alliance as an indication of their mutual commitment to the long-term potential of this partnership.

With this announcement Pentax enters a decisive phase of the ambitious Product Plan announced within the framework of the “Pentax Mid-Term Management Plan” and Pentax has chosen the Intergeo 2007 in Leipzig, Germany to reveal his first ultra-precise and flexible GNSS measurement solution which foreshadows the forthcoming innovative, easy-to-use and cost-effective Pentax GNSS-receiver that will go on sale from January 2008.

The Pentax GNSS-receiver will be based on Javad GNSS technology, which will be provided to Pentax after such date and which focuses on surveying professionals and operators of all skill levels around the world.
