Carlson’s mighty MINI data collector is on its way
Leipzig, Germany (September 26, 2007) – It’s small, but mighty, and just what surveyors and contractors need in the field. Exhibiting at the Intergeo conference and trade fair here, Carlson Software introduced the CarlsonMINI, a compact and lightweight, yet tough and resilient field computer manufactured with the hardworking surveyor or contractor in mind.
Less than 4˝ by 7 inches, the CarlsonMINI runs on Windows Mobile 5 and comes complete with Carlson SurvCE 2.0, the most powerful data collection software on the market today. Leave it in a hot car or forget it overnight in the depth of winter. Accidently drop it, get it wet, sit on it – go ahead, don’t be careful with it. MIL-STD-810F-rated for water, humidity, sand and dust, vibration, altitude, shock, high temperature, low temperature, and temperature shock, the CarlsonMINI will be there for you and come back for more.
“We at Carlson know that you can never predict what will happen out in the field or at a construction site,” says Bruce Carlson, founder and president of Carlson Software, “so we’ve developed this fully rugged, yet compact, handheld computer that will perform even in the harshest environments.”
Featuring a touch screen and a high contrast color display, the CarlsonMINI is available in three models: CarlsonMINI 520MHz with Bluetooth, CarlsonMINI 520MHz without Bluetooth, and Carlson MINI 300MHz without Bluetooth. All will feature lightning-quick processing and wireless connectivity.
Use it for surveying, stake out, construction layout and more. The easy-to-use tab-based menu and enhanced graphics in Carlson SurvCE 2.0 work perfectly on the CarlsonMINI, enhancing its useability. Designed to fit comfortably in one hand and weighing just slightly more than a pound, the CarlsonMINI features practical, LED backlit keys with both standard and programmable functions.
The CarlsonMINI will be available for delivery beginning in October 2007. The cost, which includes having Carlson SurvCE2.0 Total Station on board, begins at $1795. For more information or for a dealer near you, call 800-989-5028 or visit www.carlsonsw.com.
