Network corrected real-time is a technological approach to high precision GPS/ GNSS positioning that has been theorized about, studied, experimented with, and implemented in various academic, scientific, and commercial forms for nearly a decade. Many of the various approaches share the fruits of past research, algorithms, and technological tools; some which are in common.

TLiD processes data at speeds of more than 500 km˛ per day

Petach Tikva, Israel, September 11, 2007 – Tiltan Systems Engineering announces the release of its TLiD solution, the next generation in LiDAR data processing tools. Tiltan Systems Engineering Ltd. is a leading provider of 2D- and 3D -image generation systems and derived applications.

“Our fully integrated TLiD end-to-end, standalone solution is a bold step forward in LiDAR technology,” says Arie Shafir, Tiltan’s CEO. “The system uses superior algorithms enabling automatic processing of more than 500 square kilometers per day on a standard PC, while other methods can barely handle 15 square kilometers per day.”

TLiD delivers fast, accurate data processing of LiDAR point clouds, generating geographic information layers and providing highly optimized 3D models for real-time applications. The end results are converted into the coordinate system of choice. Its feature-laden design provides extraction ranging from bare earth (DTM) to complex roofs and building shapes, trees and power lines. TLiD’s output is ready for both export to other systems and display within its integrated 3D viewer, which allows full control of views, light state and atmospheric visual effects.

“TLiD’s use of streaming data with no limit on input file size permits near real-time data processing,” continues Shafir. “The user-friendly system does not require any special training, freeing our clients’ staff to immediately focus on applying rather than learning our technology.”

With the TLiD solution, clients can process their LiDAR data onsite or via a Tiltan partner. TLiD will be available in Q1 2008. Processing services using TLiD are already available.
