Lancaster, Pa. – RETTEW, a multidiscipline engineering, planning, land development, environmental consulting and surveying firm, recently expanded its environmental engineering operations in the central Pa. region by hiring two additional staff. Bruce R. Chambers, PE, has joined the environmental engineering group as a project manager in the firm’s Camp Hill, Pa., office, and Christopher G. Foreman works as an environmental engineering project manager in the firm’s Chambersburg, Pa., office.

Lauriello added that Chambers and Foreman bring to the firm and its clients more than 50 years of combined professional experience.

Bruce R. Chambers, PE
Chambers is a project manager responsible for overseeing projects performed by the firm’s Camp Hill environmental engineering group, as well as providing technical expertise and guidance to other environmental engineering staff elsewhere in the firm. Chambers has worked on water and wastewater treatment projects of varying size and scope, including several multi-million dollar projects, throughout his 35-year career. His experience encompasses all project phases, from preliminary design to final design and construction, and he is well versed in regulatory requirements, assisting clients with obtaining required federal, state and local permits.

Chambers has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Virginia Military Institute, a master’s degree in civil engineering from West Virginia University and is a member of the Water Environment Federation, the Pennsylvania Water Environment Association and the American Waterworks Association. He has also volunteered for PA CleanWays of Fayette County, a non-profit organization that focuses on controlling litter and eliminating illegal dumping by conducting cleanups; sponsoring adoptions of local roads, trails, parks and waterways; and providing educational programs. He resides in Uniontown, Fayette County, Pa.

Christopher G. Foreman
In his role as project manager, Foreman designs wastewater collection, conveyance and treatment systems and drinking water treatment and distribution facilities for municipalities and municipal authorities, in addition to overseeing the firm’s environmental engineering projects in Franklin County and nearby regions. With more than 18 years of experience, Foreman has provided operational and design services to more than 60 water and wastewater treatment facilities ranging from small flow treatment facilities for individual residences to large municipal treatment plants. He holds both wastewater and water operator licenses from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and is state-certified to instruct wastewater treatment plant operators who are obtaining their DEP certification.

In addition to having worked on land development projects designing water and wastewater systems, he has also worked on industrial projects to design pretreatment systems. A resident of Chambersburg, Franklin County, Foreman is a Cumberland Valley Appalachian Trail Club volunteer and a member of the Franklin County Kittochtinny Historical Society and the National Audubon Society.
