Newark CA, April 22, 2007: RMSI has captured the top spot in the Great Places to Work Study 2006’ conducted by the Grow Talent Company in partnership with the Great Places to Work Institute, Inc, USA and Businessworld Magazine. The company scored a high 4.5 on a scale of 1-5 on survey parameters - Credibility, Respect, Pride and Camaraderie. Based in Noida, India, RMSI provides mission-critical geographic information systems (GIS), modeling and analytical services to customers worldwide.

Neerja Verma, Senior Vice President, Human Resources at RMS, points out that, “RMSI has regularly achieved ‘ A Pride of Place’ in external employer surveys and studies such as the Great Places to Work Study and Dataquest IDC India's Top 20 Best Indian IT Employers survey. These external endorsements epitomize the fact that a good organization is bound together by a set of employee centric best practices and values.

Among the other unique practices at RMSI that have been highlighted in the study this year, is the focus on "Subject Matter Experts" being groomed to conduct trainings in-house and an environment that is "Highly ethical and transparent. The study also speaks highly of the "diversity of projects" at RMSI.

Rajesh Kalra, the Managing Director, RMSI, said “The getting there part (to being a great work place) is easy. This is the base that employees have come to recognize. Anything after this has to be a significant value addition. And that’s a tough ask!”

The study spanned all industries in India including Health, Insurance, Hospitality, Manufacturing, Consulting and IT. More than 121 organizations participated and over 16,000 employees were surveyed. A unique employee-centric methodology was adopted to measure the levels of trust, pride and camaraderie in organizations. Workplaces were ranked on a point scale in a combination of quantitative and qualitative data based on the opinion of employees.

Familiar names join RMSI in the Top Five - Classic Stripes came in at #2, Google India #3, Federal Express came in at #4 and Marriott International was at #5.
