Chambersburg, Pa. — RETTEW, a multidiscipline engineering, planning, land development, environmental consulting and surveying firm, today announced the opening of its Chambersburg office at an official ribbon-cutting ceremony held on site at 97B Brim Boulevard, Chambersburg, Pa. Among those present were William F. McLaughlin, president of the Chambersburg Borough Council; David Sciamanna, president of the Greater Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce; and Bill Gour, director of the Greencastle-Antrim Chamber of Commerce.

Established in 1969 in Lancaster County, the firm chose Franklin County as the location for its ninth office in an effort to address the engineering, land development, planning and related service needs of the area, nearby northern Maryland, and West Virginia. According to Engineering News Record (ENR), RETTEW is one of the top 500 design firms in the country.

“We are indeed proud and excited to bring nearly 40 years of expertise to Franklin County and surrounding areas,” said Mark Lauriello, PE, president of RETTEW. “Our commitment to improve the quality of life for the communities, clients and employees we serve is not only RETTEW’s ongoing promise, it’s what we strive for each and every day.”

RETTEW’s local projects currently include the Antrim Township/Greencastle Borough Joint Comprehensive Plan, a stream restoration project for the Borough of Chambersburg and three land development projects.

“These projects will allow the community to see what RETTEW is all about and witness firsthand our ongoing commitment to client satisfaction,” said Gary Stouffer, PLS, director of RETTEW’s Central Pennsylvania Region, who oversees the Chambersburg office. “We look forward to building on these initial successes to further support the community.”

Currently six employees work in the Chambersburg office, and the firm plans to eventually expand to a full complement of 17 employees locally. RETTEW has nearly 250 employees total. 

The Chambersburg office presently includes land development, environmental engineering and surveying staff, who receive technical support from RETTEW’s Lancaster and Camp Hill locations to also provide area clients with a complete line of civil and municipal engineering, planning, transportation engineering and environmental services. In addition to its Chambersburg, Camp Hill and Lancaster locations, RETTEW has offices in Chester Springs,  Nazareth, and Schuylkill Haven, Pa.; Baltimore, Md.; and Liberty and Margaretville, N.Y.
