LIVERMORE, CA -- A new RTK GPS spread spectrum radio board with an extended range of up to 2.5 miles has been introduced by Topcon Positioning Systems (TPS).
The board is integrated into the Topcon HiPer Lite+ receiver and provides extended range for improved job site performance. The unit increases radio range by 65 percent, from 1.5 miles to up to 2.5 miles. Jason Killpack, TPS product marketing manager, said the upgrade “is an example of the continuing commitment TPS has to constantly improve products for better job site performance. Under optimum conditions, interference-free communications can be received from up to 2.5 miles away from the base station. The HiPer Lite+ continues to be a very powerful and economical GPS positioning instrument.”
