Network corrected real-time is a technological approach to high precision GPS/ GNSS positioning that has been theorized about, studied, experimented with, and implemented in various academic, scientific, and commercial forms for nearly a decade. Many of the various approaches share the fruits of past research, algorithms, and technological tools; some which are in common.

Celestial Connections: Guiding GIS Solutions

LIVERMORE, CA -- The premier of Topcon’s newest digital planetarium presentation – Celestial Connections: Guiding GIS Solutions – will be at the ESRI International Users Conference, August 7-11, at the San Diego Convention Center.

Aimed at the surveying and GIS professional market, the satellite theater presentation details Topcon’s GMS-2 and its dual-constellation tracking, as well as its integrated digital camera which links photos and attribute information to GPS coordinates.
 Combining immortal words from Shakespeare, computer graphics, and advanced animation techniques, the focus of the 10-minute presentation is three-fold:
1) The empowering of companies through the use of the latest satellite precise positioning technology;
2) How technology can save time … and money; and
3) How Topcon’s newly released GMS-2, a simple-to-operate, GPS receiver with multiple functions (GIS mapping system, an L1 static survey grade receiver or field controller), can create a “the sky’s the limit” work environment on any job site.
 Topcon’s Satellite Theater— conceived, designed, scripted, animated, and digitally recorded by company employees— provides a 360-degree, total-immersion theater experience. It is the only one of its kind in the world strictly devoted to promoting company products at global trade shows.

About Topcon:  Topcon Positioning Systems, a developer and manufacturer of positioning equipment, offers the world’s leading selection of innovating precision GPS, GIS, laser, optical surveying, and machine control, products, software, and applications.
