Trimble International User Conference Now in Session; Trimble Dimensions 2005 - Move Your Business Forward

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Oct. 25  -- Trimble (NASDAQ:TRMB) opened its Dimensions 2005 on Monday. With more than 1,300 registered attendees from over 50 countries around the world, the conference focuses on applying technology to meet the needs faced daily by surveying, construction, and civil engineering professionals. Trimble Dimensions 2005 is being held Oct. 24 - 26 at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas.

"We are extremely pleased with the strong interest demonstrated in Trimble Dimensions," said Steven W. Berglund, president and CEO of Trimble. "It is truly a unique conference focused on how advanced technology solutions are transforming the engineering and construction industries in the way they work."

The theme of Trimble Dimensions 2005 is Move Your Business Forward with an emphasis on improving productivity and lowering costs through the application of positioning, wireless and software technologies. With more than 150 educational sessions, the conference features a wide range of programs including presentations on the underlying technologies, sessions on applying those technologies to real world problems as well as introductory and advanced product training. In addition, some sessions are being presented to highlight techniques to help organizations grow their maximize return on investment. Many of the application sessions utilize Trimble users to explain the practical use of technology in surveying, civil engineering, highway and heavy construction, site preparation, and construction vehicle fleet management, as well as other emerging applications.

The conference scope includes the complete suite of Trimble survey, construction, engineering and infrastructure solutions, including products from Tripod Data Systems (TDS), Applanix, Pacific Crest and Apache. Highlighted solutions and technologies include GPS; total stations; field computing and data collection; 3D scanning; wireless communications; data transfer; and field and office applications. Other technology providers who are Trimble partners are participating in the conference to extend the conference's range of products and applications.
