iSECUREtrac Signs Spokane County Juvenile for GPS Tracking
Written by iSECUREtrac
Thursday, 13 May 2004
OMAHA, Neb. -- iSECUREtrac(TM) Corp., an industry leader in secure GPS tracking solutions, announced today that Spokane County Juvenile Court Services of Spokane, Washington has entered into an agreement for iSECUREtrac's tracNET24(TM) criminal justice tracking solution. Spokane County will initially deploy Passive GPS tracking systems on offenders.
"We are pleased to have GPS. It clearly gives us more information about juvenile offenders, pre and post adjudicated, in our community. More information is good. We hope this will be a vast improvement to traditional house arrest devices," said Rand Trevey, Detention Services Supervisor at Spokane County Juvenile.
"GPS tracking systems are being used on adult and juvenile offenders with similar effectiveness," said Tom Wharton, CEO of iSECUREtrac. "The more information these agencies obtain using GPS tracking reduces the manual labor involved with monitoring offenders. We are continuing to see an expansion of programs using GPS," added Wharton.
