Intuicom Announces the Release of the Military Navigator II Print E-mail
Written by Intuicom
Thursday, 15 April 2004
BOULDER, Colo.-- April 15, 2004--Intuicom, Inc.(TM), a leader in wireless data networks, announced the release of the Military Navigator II(TM), a low-cost wireless data link with embedded GPS for Military and Homeland Security applications.

The Military Navigator II delivers reliable long-range data communications across small or complex networks. In addition to providing location/tracking capabilities with the WAAS enabled GPS option, the unit provides up to three serial ports and discrete channel I/O (four inputs, three outputs). The multi-functional Military Navigator II offers flexibility to the system architect and can be configured as a master, slave, repeater, or slave/repeater in point to point or multipoint network.

Enclosed in a heavy-duty waterproof aluminum enclosure, the Military Navigator II is engineered for both fixed and mobile applications in harsh environments. Whether tracking assets on the range, scoring a war-gaming exercise, or enabling wireless connectivity in remote sensor/security systems, the Military Navigator II provides the robust and reliable wireless communications demanded by military applications.

Employing secure, frequency hopping spread spectrum technology, the Military Navigator II is available for operation on military frequencies from 225-400 MHz or on license-free ISM bands (900 MHz or 2.4GHz). Intuicom's "best-in-class" performance provides full duplex data transmissions up to 115 Kbps for ranges in excess of 60 miles. By using repeaters, the network coverage area can be extended to hundreds of miles.

"The Military Navigator II is a low-cost data link with the functionality of more costly competing systems. Building upon the proven reliability and legacy of our first generation products, this improved high-speed data link represents a key milestone in our strategy and commitment to the defense market," said Karl Tonis, Intuicom National Sales Manager-Government and Defense Systems.
