Leica Geosystems’ New Rental Program Provides Just-In-Time Access to Equipment Print E-mail
Written by Leica Geosystems

A convenient online storefront, expert service, flexible terms and immediate availability make rentals an ideal solution for many projects.

Norcross, GA, August 3, 2015 – Leica Geosystems today announced the launch of a new rental program through its Solutions Center stores and select distribution partners throughout the U.S. and Canada. The industry’s first and only manufacturer rental program, the Leica Geosystems rental service provides a large selection of measurement and positioning equipment for surveying, engineering and construction, available with flexible and convenient rental terms. Companies can rent the latest total stations, multistations, GPS/GNSS solutions, laser scanners, rotating lasers, grade lasers, pipe lasers, levels and other technology for a single day or multiple months. All equipment is maintained by certified technicians and is available for immediate pickup or shipment to any location.

Operating through an online storefront that is easy to access through both desktop and mobile devices, the Leica Geosystems Rental Program goes beyond a basic store to provide a personalized, consultative experience. Customers enter their ZIP code on the site and are immediately assigned a local expert who works with them to customize their equipment and provides guidance on startup and use. Professional service and support are provided throughout the duration of the rental. Standardized packages of hardware and software are configured to work out-of-the-box with minimal setup time. Rent-to-own options are also available and allow customers to apply their rental fees toward the purchase price of the gear.

“For many firms, renting is a great way to go when additional equipment is needed for a project,” says Leica Geosystems Rental Manager Jeff Hull. “Instead of a capital expense, rental of the technology becomes an operational expense that can be transferred to the project, rather than absorbed, and it’s a good way to try out a new technology before you buy it.

“Renting is an easy, cost-effective way to get the equipment you need, when and where you need it,” he adds.
