Network corrected real-time is a technological approach to high precision GPS/ GNSS positioning that has been theorized about, studied, experimented with, and implemented in various academic, scientific, and commercial forms for nearly a decade. Many of the various approaches share the fruits of past research, algorithms, and technological tools; some which are in common.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Researches and interprets source documentation, including correspondence, legal documents, construction plans and other specific discipline related technical writing.
- Coordinates project related events and issues with the Environmental and/or Engineering Divisions as necessary.
- Provides field crews with “Info-Pac” (packet containing all the required information for the field crew to perform a specific project).
- Provides guidance and/or direction to field survey crews during the data gathering and staking process.
- Processes field notes and reduces GPS, RTK, and Conventional field data.
- Imports data into and maintains existing data in InfoCAD working files.
- Provides and receives specific project related information to and from clients under direct supervision of project manager.
- Provide project and/or plat specific information to CAD Operators for drafting purposes.
- Makes manual and/or visual checks of preliminary data and final product to ensure quality control of all data entering the system.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable standards, statutes, and ordinances.
- Produces maps, plots, and manuscript data as requested.
- Maintains accurate records and documentation (i.e., notes, correspondence, sketches, etc.) of work performed.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from an accredited curriculum or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus 30 hours of accredited survey courses and successful completion of the professional surveyor’s exam.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Design/CAD software (InfoCAD, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Microstation, etc); Internet software (SONRIS, Intranet Applications, etc.); Spreadsheet software and Word Processing (Ultra Edit, Word Pad, etc.) software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Professional Surveyors License from the state registration board in which the person works.
