We are currently seeking a talented Survey Department Manager who understands the importance of providing such service and strives to contribute to the success of Carlton Engineering. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and dedicated professional Survey Manager to lead a dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have a Professional Land Survey license in the state of
California, a minimum of 8 years of experience in surveying and mapping, a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory capacity (including direction of workload, developing staff and completing performance assessments), strong project management skills, exceptional business development and client maintenance skills.A Bachelors degree in Geomatics, Engineering, or a related field is desirable.Required skills for this position include, boundary surveying, topographic mapping, construction staking, AutoCAD, GPS boundary calculations, Professional Land Surveyor, GIS/Mapping and construction project management.
Expectations of the Survey Department Manager include, but are not limited to, financial responsibility for project and department budgets, developing and mentoring Survey Department staff, promoting growth of the firm through engagement in business development and client maintenance, reviewing, approving and tracking Survey Department proposals, engaging in accounts receivables maintenance as required.
